Essential to school crisis recovery and renewal is storytelling: creating coherent narratives about our individual and collective experiences help us repair the fracture and rupture that crisis, trauma, and grief create.
As such, SCRR is thrilled to provide two no cost intensive workshops led by Dr. Meagan Corrado, the owner and founder of Storiez Trauma Narratives. Each three-hour training is customized (one for therapists, one for educators and community // school leaders and professionals) and focused on stories as trauma healing practices for youth and our school communities.
Storiez is a trauma-informed intervention designed to help trauma survivors- especially urban youth- to create, voice, and honor their life narratives. Storiez is grounded in trauma theory and reflects an understanding of common factors and best practices for work with victims of trauma. It is grounded in the trauma literature and has been endorsed by some of the leading theorists in the trauma field.
